Commencing on December 19 and concluding on January 4, the daily giveaway kicks off with Destiny 2: Legacy Collection. This means you can snag a free game each day for a total of 15 days.
Epic has been consistently gifting games during the holiday season since 2019, presenting EGS members with an enticing array of titles each year. Notable examples from the previous year include Death Stranding, Sable, and Wolfenstein: The New Order.
The grand finale typically occurs on Christmas Day, featuring Epic’s most prominent games. The daily freebies are available until 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET each day. While the exact list of offerings remains unconfirmed, expect a diverse mix of AAA and indie games throughout the promotional period. It’s important to note that this event temporarily supersedes the regular weekly release of free games and continues until January 2024.
On December 13, the featured game is Destiny 2: Legacy Collection. Although the base Destiny 2 game is free to download and play, the Legacy Collection comes with a substantial amount of DLC content. This includes the Shadowkeep (2019), Beyond Light (2021), and The Witch Queen expansions (2022). Additionally, it grants access to 37 powerful Exotic weapons, 15 Exotic armor pieces, and the Stasis subclass.
For those unfamiliar with Destiny 2, it is a sci-fi epic where players assume the role of Guardians, defenders of the cosmos armed with Light and Darkness powers. These powers are utilized to combat malevolent forces threatening the entirety of existence. Notably, the Legacy Collection does not include the Lightfall expansion, which is available for separate purchase.
